West Virginia Chamber of Commerce www.wvchamber.com
As the state’s largest, most influential general business organization, the West Virginia Chamber represents all business sectors in every region of the state, with more than 95 percent of its members being small businesses. The organization’s 5,000+ membership reach comes from its network relationships with 54 local chambers of commerce and dozens of statewide business and trade associations. The West Virginia Chamber is a proactive leader in the search for solutions to problems, a voice for free market competition and streamlined government, a catalyst for progressive thinking and problem solving, and a partner with government as appropriate.

West Virginia High Technology Consortium (WVHTC) Foundation www.wvhtf.org
The WVHTC Foundation mission is to serve as a catalyst to further integrate and cultivate the West Virginia technology community, and to diversify and strengthen West Virginia’s economy. In 1990, Congressman Alan Mollohan established the WVHTC to create the critical mass of regional technology companies needed to move economic diversification efforts forward. |

- Generate greater demand for and use of broadband connectivity options among West Virginia businesses, particularly in smaller and rural communities;
- Expand awareness, adoption and use of new web-based technologies and business-solution technological applications that are available to improve West Virginia’s small business competitiveness, performance capabilities and market reach; and
- Foster and facilitate close communication and collaboration among the many different government, business, non-profit and economic development organizations whose purpose is to enable business growth and expansion.
Among its many programs and activities, the partners in this initiative will focus on the following objectives:
- Showcase “off the shelf” technological applications and hosted applications to improve business processes and solve business problems.
- Educate small business people on what technological applications are available and where they can purchase or lease these.
